Food Crisis!
Hehehe, berhubung di Indonesia skill memasak gua cuma terbatas pada indomie goreng dan telor ceplok/dadar, pas sampai sini gua hampir selalu beli makanan. The closest thing I've got to cooking is heating frozen foods with either microwave or oven. It's almost two weeks now, and I'm getting pretty bored by those, and decided to cook my own food. Now the problem is, I really don't know what kind of food to cook. Indonesian food are hard to cook since many of them use ingredients that you can hardly find here. So if any kind soul out there willing to help me out here and send me a easy-to-cook and delicious recipes, I will be very grateful..:D

will be the new Batman for the fifth movie.

BURBANK, CA, 11 September 2003–- Christian Bale has been cast in the starring role of Bruce Wayne in Warner Bros. Pictures' upcoming Batman movie, to be directed by Christopher Nolan and produced by Emma Thomas. The announcement was made today by Jeff Robinov, President of production for Warner Bros. Pictures.

Principal photography on the film is expected to begin in early 2004. The movie is written by David Goyer and Nolan, and will follow the early career of The Dark Knight.

Said Nolan, "What I see in Christian is the ultimate embodiment of Bruce Wayne. He has exactly the balance of darkness and light that we were looking for."

Robinov stated, "Now that we've found the best person to play Batman, we are really looking forward to moving ahead with the rest of our casting, and are excited about the exceptional group we are assembling."

First week
Hehehe, udah hampir seminggu gua di sini, and I've learn a few things along the way about living in England.
First, everybody walk here. Even gentlemen wearing nice suits, they walk, ride the public train. Gak banyak orang yang pakai mobil di sini. Gua yang di Indonesia paling males sama jalan kaki mau nggak mau harus jalan. Tapi, untung karena dingin, pas jalan gak gitu kerasa capek. Kerasanya pas elo udah istirahat di kamar :p. Tiap hari minimal gua harus jalan kira2 2 kilo buat sampai ke kampus. Yang kedua, the accent. Northeast people have this accent called "Mackem", that slightly different from your usual English. Pas perkenalan, sampai ada kelasnya sendiri buat ngejelasin itu, biar mahasiswa internasional yang masih baru gak bingung. Untungnya, dosen2 ngomongnya gak gitu, mereka bicara cukup jelas untuk dimengerti. Tapi kalau udah ketemu orang lokal, kayak polisi, kasir di supermarket, gua masih suka gak nangkep mereka ngomong apa. Terakhir, gua baru tau kalau air dari keran bisa langsung di minum.. heheheh.. *norak mode : on*
udah ah, ntar sambung lagi, belom mandi nih gua..:p. cheers..

Arrived at last
Hallooo.. thanks buat semua yang udah nganter dan ngedoain. Kemarin gua sampai di Sunderland dengan selamat.
Jam 5:30 cabut dari Soekarno-Hatta, sampai di Changi jam 6:30 sore. Nunggu 5 jam di bandara, baru berangkat ke London jam 12 malem. 12 jam di perjalanan, gua sampai di Heathrow jam 6:30 besok paginya. 3 jam kemudian baru berangkat ke Newcastle. Sampai di Newcastle, udah ditungguin sama orang dari University, langsung dianter pake mobil ke Sunderland. Sampai di tempat akomodasi gua, kira2 jam 12 siang. Abis itu, unpack terus belanja makanan sebentar di supermarket. Balik ke kamar lagi kira2 jam 5 sore, jam 8 gua udah tepar..:D. Paginya kebangun jam 4 pagi gak bisa tidur lagi.. damn..masih jetlag. Akhirnya malah nonton DVD United yang gua bawa dari rumah.. :p. Pagi ini gua ke kampus, dan ketemu sama orang Indonesia yang udah nyampe duluan. Lumayanlah, bisa ngomong indonesia lagi, sama ngurangin rindu gua sama kampung halaman..:D

It never really hit me that I'll be leaving all my friends and family for quite a long time, until a few hours ago. I hope we can keep in touch, be sure to check here once in a while for the latest updates! :D
Oh, and I want to congratulate my cousin, Fadli Ahmad who won a trip to US for winning an international drawing competition for kids. Have a good time there and don't put your mom into any trouble. If any of you want to see the picture that won him that trip, check out Thursday Media Indonesia.

First Day as a jobless person
Wake up very late this morning, that's one of the privilege of not having a job ;-). After a quick brunch, I went to the hospital for the medical check up. After that I went to my old office to get some paperworks on my resign. Had lunch with some friends there, and I remember to pay all my debts in canteen :D. Finished with that, I went to collect some more paperworks about my accomodation in UK. I chat a little with the guy at the agency who help me through all the registration process, he said there shouldn't be any problem in Heathrow according to the new students who got there first. That's all I need to hear, hopefully I wouldn't get any problem at all too. I went home after all that, and decided to take some afternoon nap..
And I tell you this, afternoon nap must be one of life most underrated pleasure.. :D:D
